The Board of the Ringing World Limited decided at a recent meeting that the time had come to make a modest increase in the price of The Ringing World. This will be the first price rise for two years. We are aware that the current financial climate is difficult for many of our customers. Although we have continued to make cost savings, we have been hit hard by the low return on investments, higher than expected inflation, large increase in postage rates and increases in paper prices well above the rate of inflation.
The new postal subscription rates will apply to payments received after 1st January, 2012 and are as follows:

UK Annual £63
Six months £34
Three months £20
Overseas annual – Western Europe    £89
Rest of the World (surface) £79
Rest of the World (airmail) £116
The new cover price, as from
the 6th January issue, is
£1.95

Direct debit payments for UK postal subscriptions collected from 15th January will be at the new rate of £59.
The Board has been able to freeze the subscription rates for those customers with online-only subscriptions, which remain at £45 per year, or £42 if paid by Direct Debit from a UK bank account.
Rates for notices and advertising will also be increasing in line with inflation, and the new rates will be shown on the notices page of the magazine and also on www.ringingworld.co.uk from 16th December.
